Artist

Born in Mauritius in 1979 and actually working as an Art educator. She completed a BA (Hons) Fine Arts with specialisation in Painting in 2005 and have also done a Post Graduate Certificate in Education. Her passion for painting is to create artwork which is unique and handmade based on her exotic and colourful heritage and also on her personal feelings. Veronique Christine-Laurent practice many diverse techniques and styles such as Acrylic painting, printing, mixed media on canvas and wood. Different strokes can also be seen in her artworks for during the realisation process each stroke moves like an inner conversation. Hence, each work is really a quest for a personal touch. In doing so, this is certainly empowering her artistic journey. Veronique Christine-Laurent also do portrait but mainly on order. Her achievements: Joint exhibition (Partage) at Alliance Française Art painting selected to represent Mauritius in Seychelles Island Salon D’ été (SSR Art Gallery Municipality of Quatre- Bornes) Joint exhibition at National Art Museum Various artworks are exhibited in Art gallery.
