Malika Teeluck

Her works are mostly inspired by Nature and Women: nature through iconic plants and animals in the context of human kind and women through patience, grace and beauty. Glimpses of peace and love come out of her work through movements and colors that can be deciphered within. These emotions and icons are painted using light non-contrasting colors that reflect shades & gradients without corrupting or directing the mind of the viewer. Her works are mostly compositions based on women cane cutters and indentured laborers that were brought to Mauritius in 1835.
